White House Subs

World Famous Subs Since 1946

While Atlantic City may have seen better days, there’s one institution that is as strong as ever. White House Subs has been the destination within a destination for generations of locals and visitors alike playing host to celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Oprah Winfrey, Rocky Marciano, Joe DiMaggio, and even the Beatles who chowed down on a 72 inch sub after a concert in 1964. Some things may have changed since it opened in 1946 (a whole sub no longer costs 50 cents), but when it comes to the quality of their subs (like using fresh baked bread delivered up to 10 times a day from local bakeries), things are the same as they ever were. This unwavering commitment to producing the nation’s best subs is just one of the many reasons the James Beard Foundation named White House Subs an American Classic in one of the awards inaugural classes.

We're not the only ones who love them!

White House Subs has been named an American Classic by the James Beard Foundation and was a favorite of Rocky Marciano, Joe DiMaggio and Frank Sinatra who used to have sandwiches shipped to him on movie sets. White House Subs has also been featured on the Food Network, the Travel Channel and the Cooking Channel as well as just about every list of the best sandwiches in the country.
