This package includes:

  • 1 pack skinless hot dogs (16 hot dogs)
  • 2 packs poppy seed buns (8 buns per pack)
  • 12 oz. jar Vienna sport peppers
  • 12 oz. jar Vienna bright green relish
  • 10.5 oz. bottle Plochman’s yellow mustard
  • 1.2 oz. celery salt

Use And Care

Cooking the hot dogs: We recommend going traditional with the boiling method.

  • Fill a pot with one and a half quarts of water, roughly 48 oz.
  • Bring the water to a boil, turn the water down until it stops boiling, or a slight simmer. Hot dogs should not be cooked in boiling water.
  • Place the chosen number of hot dogs into water and cook uncovered for about 20 minutes, keep an eye on them because depending on your stove’s temperature they may cook faster.

Steam those hot dog buns:

  • Do not steam buns until hot dogs have cooked and are nearing feasting time.
  • Place package of hot dog buns into a microwave.
  • Heat buns on high for 2 to 2 ½ minutes (depending on the how many you heat , smaller amounts need only 45-60 seconds).
  • The escaping steam and hot dog buns will be extremely hot, so be careful when taking them out

To make the ultimate Chicago hot dog follow these steps after you put in the hot dog in the poppy seed bun: (do these to taste)

1) Yellow mustard
2) Bright green relish
3) Fresh chopped onion (item not included)
4) Two tomato wedges (item not included)
5) Kosher pickle spear (item not included)
6) Two sport peppers
7) Dash of celery salt
