Bumbleberry sounds like a magical fruit that can only be found among the Great Plains' amber waves of grain, but it's real and it's spectacular. I don't know how they pack all of that rhubarb, apple, strawberry, blackberry, blueberry and raspberry goodness into a single flaky crust, but I don't need to understand it to love it!

America, you are beautiful. Your mountains. Your beaches. Your pie. Located in South Dakota’s Black Hills is the Purple Pie Place dedicated to that most sacred beauty our country offers. This local pie joint operates out of a very purple old Victorian home built in 1881 that has been purple ever since then. Owners Bob and Kat Yehle transformed the home into their little purple pie oasis and are dedicated to serving both locals and tourists on their way to Mt. Rushmore with the best slice of pie they’ve ever had. To do so, Bob and Kat are up early every morning to start their pie making process from scratch.

For purple pie majesties.
