The Pennsylvania Bakery

Home to Their Famous Spaghetti Bread

The Schenk family have been bakers for as long they can remember. It all started with great grandfather John Schenk who left Germany to pursue the American dream. In 1938, he and his wife Pauline opened Schenk’s Bakery in Pennsylvania. Generations later in 1997, Ken Schenk Jr. opened his own shop—Pennsylvania Bakery—with his wife Michelle and three daughters- using recipes that have been passed down over 72 years. While Pennsylvania Bakery offers a full range of delicious baked goods, it’s their their signature Spaghetti Bread that has brought them most of the acclaim. A local favorite, this delicious, soft bread is woven with toasted onions, poppy seeds and cream cheese. No spaghetti, just comfort food at its best.

We're not the only ones who love them!

Pennsylvania Bakery has received lots of local love and have been featured on QVC, Bake Magazine, Harrisburg Magazine and Susquehanna Style.
