It may have taken a while for people to get used to flavors like butternut squash or rose geranium, but that never stopped Japanese chef Shiho Yoshikawa from inventing unique ice cream flavors. In fact, it was this creativity and passion that inspired her long time friend Zoe Nathan, co-owner of Rustic Canyon Restaurants, to collaborate and start Sweet Rose Creamery. Today, Sweet Rose is known as one of the best ice cream spots in LA. Not only is each batch of kosher hand-crafted ice cream made with the quality organic local ingredients, each flavor is inspired by Shiho’s visits to the Santa Monica Farmers Market. As the seasons change, her flavors evolve—summer peaches make way for apples and figs come fall, while October pumpkins make way for cranberry orange and butter pecan by November. There is always something new in Shiho’s kitchen—so make sure to choose Chef’s Pick to get the latest flavors!

We're not the only ones who love them!

Sweet Rose Creamery has been featured in LA Times, People, Time Out, Thrillist, Forbes and USA Today. It was also named LA’s top three ice creams by Eater, Food & Wine and Vogue.
