Sucré

New Orleans' Most Stylish Pastry Shop
Sucré
I love these guys. They are weird and quirky, just like New Orleans. But, they also bring a sexiness and creativity to everything they do. I mean, who has the chutzpah to re-invent the King Cake, or classic French Macarons? Um, they do. And they nail it every time.
Joe Ariel - CEO, The Marco Polo of Food

Satisfy all sweet tooth cravings with the confections from Sucre. Pastry chef Tariq Hanna and owner Joel Dondis, former sous chef for Emeril Lagasse (can I get a BAM!), have been crafting sweets like French macarons, chocolate bars, marshmallows, and southern candied pecans on Magazine Street in New Orleans since 2007. Sucre takes pride in creating confections that are handmade, spending the time filling 6,000+ French macarons with cream by hand each day.

Their award winning French macarons feature seasonal flavors like blackberry lemon, peppermint and peaches & cream. These sweet bites taste like they’ve been picked fresh from the vine. Oh, if only a macaron tree really did exist… And being from New Orleans, they serve a mighty Kings Cake for Mardi Gras that arrives glowing in its box. This baby features all that is holy about cake.

We're not the only ones who love them!

Sucre has been featured in Saveur, Oprah’s O Magazine, Bon Appetit, The Washington Post, and Food Network and visited by celebrities like Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, and Nicholas Cage.
