Steve's Ice Cream

Brooklyn's Most Creative Ice Cream Maker
Steve's Ice Cream
Steve's is CLASSIC ice cream from Brooklyn and one of my personal favs. I would bring a crate of Sweet Corn and Blackberry with me to a dessert island (get it??). Sweet corn in ice cream might sound weird, but trust me, it's crazy good.

If the last time you moaned was while crunching down on some Heath bar bits mixed into ice cream, you have Steve Herrell to thank for that. The original Steve’s, founded in 1973, was a trailblazer in the ice cream world with his creation of the “mix in” – blending in bits of candies, cookies, fruits or nuts into super-premium, custom-blended ice cream.

Today Steve’s Ice Cream is reinvented for the modern palate while staying true to its founding principles, churning out a dense, ultra-rich ice cream that’s now blended with artisanal mix-ins like handmade ricotta cheese from Salvatore BKLYN or stone ground guajillo chile chocolate from Taza Chocolate. It’s old school creamery meets new school mix-ins, and our spoons (and tongues) couldn’t be more blissful.

We're not the only ones who love them!

Steve's has been featured on The Huffington Post and Serious Eats as well as in Details Magazine, New York Magazine, Eater, The Village Voice and the Wall Street Journal.
