Seed + Mill is the product of three friends, Lisa Mendelson, Monica Molenaar and Rachel Simons, united by a shared passion for food, cooking and high quality, healthy ingredients. Located in the food artisan mecca of NYC’s Chelsea Market, Seed + Mill is breathing modern life into the ancient sesame seed by offering unexpected flavors of tahini (essentially sesame butter) and halva. Derived from the Arabic word “halwa”, meaning sweet, halva is one of the tastiest offerings from the Middle East in its traditional forms, but even more so when crafted into unique flavors like white chocolate & lemon, cardamom or sea salt dark chocolate
