  • Each tri tip weighs approximately 3.25 lbs and serves 6-8 people
  • Choose between Burgundy Pepper or Spicy Chipotle

Use And Care

  • Tri tips are vacuum sealed, frozen and shipped with ice packs which may thaw partially or fully during transit
  • Meat arrives raw and requires cooking
  • Upon arrival, place the meat in the fridge or freezer to serve later
  • Trip tip can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-5 days or in the freezer for 3 months
  • To cook, follow the instructions below. Allow meat to thaw in the refrigerator for 24 hours before cooking. Detailed cooking instructions are included in every box

Cooking Instructions

  • Allow meat to thaw in the fridge for 24 hours before cooking

Grill Method

  • Prepare grill for direct and indirect medium high heat
  • Sear the tri tip for 5-7 minutes per side over direct heat, until meat is nicely browned and caramelized
  • Move the tri tip over to the indirect heat and grill for an additional 10-15 minutes per side
  • For medium rare, the tri tip should reach an internal temperature of 130F
  • Allow tri tip to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing
  • Slice thinly against the grain and serve!

Oven Roast Method

  • Preheat the oven to 450F
  • Place the tri tip in a shallow roasting pan. Place the pan in the oven and turn down the temperature to 350F
  • Cook for 12-14 minutes per mound
  • Check the internal temperature after 30 minutes. For medium rare, the tri tip should reach an internal temperature of 130F
  • Allow tri tip to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing
  • Slice thinly against the grain and serve!
