Raindrop Cake

Raindrop Cake
At first it seemed totally weird but this cake was SO much fun to eat and such a cool experience! The cake itself is all about the texture - the flavor is really in the dark sugar sauce and powder, which I really liked. This is a great gift for food lovers or kids (they'll just need a bit of help to plate it). Definitely a conversation-starter!

IT’S HERE! Buckle up—this is not your typical dessert. Creator Darren Wong introduced a totally unique dessert to an American audience last year with ingredients that have been used traditionally for decades by many Asian cultures. The Raindrop Cake is a jelly cake that’s extremely light and refreshing, and won’t fill you up. (It’s also vegan and gluten-free!) The cake itself has a unique texture and very subtle taste; the flavor comes from the accompaniments provided—roasted soybean powder and a dark sugar cane syrup. This was previously available only to those who visited the famed Smorgasburg in Brooklyn, but now for the first time ever, Goldbely ships the Raindrop Cake to anyone in the U.S.! Pull out your phones – this cake is a work of art.

We're not the only ones who love them!

This one-of-a-kind dessert has caught everyone's eye, from The Today Show, to Food & Wine, The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Cosmopolitan, Thrillist, ABC news, Gothamist, InStyle, Refinery29, TimeOut, Delish, L.A. Weekly, and Village Voice.
