The Tomahawk Steak is a Bone-In Rib Steak with the entire rib bone intact. This long bone is frenched (trimmed of meat and fat), leaving a beautiful presentation piece. The Tomahawk, being a Rib Steak, has the largest amount of intermuscular fat, making it the most flavorful cut. It is cut based on the thickness of the bone and is typically two inches thick.

The Tomahawk is cut from the rib section. The primary muscle of the Tomahawk is the longissimus dorsi, which is also the primary muscle in the Porterhouse, T-Bone and New York Strip.

Meat is shipped Next Day Air in 1 1/2 inch thick coolers with enough ice packs to last 48 hours or more.

When you receive your order you should immediately refrigerate all meat items and keep wrapped in their packaging. We recommend that you consume all meat products within 1 week of arrival for best results. Once items are removed from their packaging, they should be consumed within 48 hours.

We do not recommend freezing this product as freezing instantly degrades its quality.
