King's BBQ

The Best Down-Home NC BBQ
King's BBQ
You might hear more about BBQ in Texas, KC and Memphis, but don't sleep on Eastern NC-style BBQ. For 75+ years these guys have been the Kings of this category...pun intended! This stuff is fall-off-the-bone good.
Joe Ariel - CEO, The Marco Polo of Food

A family-centric restaurant at its core, Kings BBQ’s modest beginnings began more than 75 years ago in Kinston, NC, when Frank King’s son Wilbur started serving food from the country store’s pot-bellied stove using family recipes and traditional Southern cooking methods. Three generations later, Kings is now worldwide famous for their signature hand-chopped BBQ – slow-roasted, pulled from the bone, and infused with a mild vinegar sauce, as only true North Carolina barbecue is prepared. Throw in some authentic cole slaw, potato salad, and hush puppies for a true down-home feast that any Southerner would heartily approve.

We're not the only ones who love them!

King's BBQ has been featured on Martha Stewart, Maxim Magazine, Our State Magazine, The New York Times and chosen by Bobby Flay as part of his "Best of" spread for CBS's Early Show.
