You may know Chef Iuzzini from Top Chef and Chopped...but before all that he grew to fame as the amazing pastry chef at legendary NYC restaurants Daniel and Jean Georges. It's very cool to see the James Beard award-winning "Outstanding Pastry Chef" turn his attention to chocolate. And once again, the dude knocks it out of the park!

Award-winning pastry chef and judge on ABC’s Great American Baking Show, Johnny Iuzzini honed his craft at highly-lauded dining locations such as London’s The River Café, and Daniel, Café Boulud, Payard & Jean Georges in NYC. Growing up in the Catskills, Chef Iuzzini always appreciated cooking with locally sourced ingredients. It was by experimenting with box cake recipes, however, that his passion for sweets developed. Working his way up from kitchens to graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Iuzzini was quickly named one of the “10 Most Influential Pastry Chefs in America” by Forbes. That’s when he decided to leave the kitchen to explore the world, launching several television shows and developing his own line of chocolate bars in the process. Iuzzini’s experiences have shaped the flavors found in every bar he produces by his own hands.

In 2006, the James Beard Foundation awarded Iuzzini "Pastry Chef of the Year." He was also recognized as one of the "10 Most Influential Pastry Chefs in America" by Forbes and "Best New Pastry Chef" by New York Magazine. Iuzzini was head judge of Bravo’s Top Chef: Just Desserts and is currently a judge on ABC’s Great American Baking Show.
