Connecticut's Real Deal Texas Style BBQ

It all started with a guys trip to Austin. Over the course of three days, Cody Sperry stopped at over a dozen BBQ joints where he learned, from owners themselves, the stories and secrets of Texas BBQ. When he returned to Ridgefield, he knew he had to bring that same BBQ experience home. Starting on a Big Green Egg smoker, Cody eventually launched a fledgling catering business before finally opening Hoodoo Brown BBQ in 2015. It was an immediate hit. Today, the Hoodoo crew takes no shortcuts when it comes to their BBQ, constantly pulling all nighters to keep an eye on the meats as they smoke for 16 hours in custom Lang Smokers. The effort has paid off as Texas Monthly’s BBQ Editor Daniel Vaughn has said their BBQ might just be the best in the country outside of Texas.
