Frankel's Delicatessen

New York’s Hottest New Jewish Deli
Frankel's Delicatessen

It's exciting to see a new age of classic jewish deli's emerge in the heart of Brooklyn and the folks at Frankel's are leading that charge. They are what I call a "dual threat" - they are equally incredible with their Pastrami on rye as they are with their bagels and lox!
Joe Ariel - CEO, The Marco Polo of Food

Raised on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, the brothers behind the eponymous delicatessen are Zach and Alex Frankel. While their careers took them on different paths—one in food, the other in music—the brothers have since come together to pay tribute to NYC’s Jewish-food landmarks with the opening of Frankel’s Delicatessen and Appetizing in 2016. With the help of Chef and Partner Ashley Berman, they’ve taken old-time family recipes and given them new life. Combing both appetizing and deli, Frankel’s specializes in small batch cooking, offering a curated selection of smoked fish, smoked meat and fresh salads. Recognized among New Yorkers for their Hot Pastrami, the beef is cured in a spice mixture, smoked and steamed for tenderness and sandwiches are hand-cut to order. Located at the corner of Manhattan and Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, we know it’s just time before Frankel’s becomes a New York landmark of its own.

We're not the only ones who love them!

Frankel’s Delicatessen & Appetizing has been featured in the New York Times, Grub Street and Zagat, Eater and Pitchfork.
