Owner and head pastry chef Joanne Chang left a career in consulting and a Harvard degree in Mathematics behind for the tasty world of pastries, and we’re all better off for it. Otherwise we wouldn’t have her famous sticky bun recipe that stumped even Bobby Flay on Food Network’s Throwdown or her spin on the classic Boston Cream Pie. Because let’s be honest, pie>proofs.

In 2016, Joanne Chang won the James Beard award for Outstanding Baker. She also won Food Network's Throwdown with Bobby Flay with her sticky bun recipe. Recently, BuzzFeed named Flour Bakery one of the "Bakeries Around the World to Visit Before You Die." It has also been featured on NPR, The Chew, The Today Show, as well as in the Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, Time, The Atlantic, Saveur, Harvard Magazine and The New York Times.
