Native to West Africa, this melon seed has amazing nutritional and protein qualities. It’s so special, ‘Yemisi Awosan named her business after it—Egunsifoods (pronounced A-Goo-See). Nigerian born, raised in New England and now settled in New York, ’Yemisi found a love for food at a young age. Today, she continues that love of exploring and sharing foods of her native land with every bowl of her authentic, natural and flavorful West African soups. In keeping with her mission to actively give back and cultivate long-term impact through social entrepreneurship, ’Yemisi currently also partners with local farmers in Africa whenever possible to source the produce and ingredients that go into each and every carefully crafted bowl of soup. These aren’t your usual flavors, but step out of your comfort zone and warm your belly with a hearty bowl of ’Yemisi’s soups!
