While the Bar Bill Tavern didn’t invent the Buffalo wing, residents of western New York believe the local legend perfected it. In a city known for their most famous creation, the Bar Bill beat every other restaurant when it came time for residents to vote on their favorite wings. Housed in a nearly 200 year old building, the Bar Bill has been serving up the best food and drinks in the Buffalo region for decades. Opened by Barb and Bill (hence the name) Korzelius with a small drink list and only Beef on Weck on the menu, the Bar Bill became the institution it is today in the late ’70’s when new owner Joe Giafaglione started experimenting with the wing sauces fans have come to know and love. It’s these legendary wings and their equally delicious Beef on ’Weck sandwiches (sliced roast beef, au jus, horseradish and kimmelweck rolls (loaded with giant salt crystals)) that have lines out the door nearly every day of the week.
