Arcaro & Genell
Having grown up on New York pizza, it takes a lot to catch my attention, however Arcaro & Genell hooked me from the very first bite. It's easy to see why they reign supreme in the "Pizza Capital of the World."
Frank Luciano - The Baron of Breakfast

Old Forge style pizza at Arcaro & Genell has reinvented everything we know about pizza. The pizza is baked in rectangular trays, so a whole pizza is not a pie, but a tray and slices are called cuts. What really throws us though is the crust, which is thick, but amazingly light and airy. Top that with a generous amount of their special cheese blend and we’ve become converts. Half of the charm of Arcaro & Genell’s pizza, though, comes from its birthplace, Old Forge, PA. Nestled in the southwest corner of Lackawanna County, the miners of this tiny town would leave late at night and go to the local taverns for some down time. There, the wives and daughters of the miners would make homemade dough on rectangular baking pans and top it with fresh homegrown tomatoes and spices from their gardens. Oh and the pizza capital of the world? Yeah, it’s not New York or Rome. It’s Old Forge, PA, and they’ve certainly earned the title.

We're not the only ones who love them!

Arcaro & Genell has been featured in Pizza Magazine, The Daily Meal, and been named the Best Old Forge Pizza.by Pennsylvania's WNEP and one of the Top 10 pizzas in the country by USA Today.
